Chevelle se ha erigido como la banda joven más prometedora de la Ciudad de los Vientos (Chicago). Formado en 1995, los miembros de Chevelle son los hermanos Loeffler: Sam (bateria), Pete (voz, Letra y guitarra) y Joe (bajo) (tres de un total de siete hermanos). Chevelle nace de la pasión por la música transmitida por su padre. Ellos son también carpinteros otra de las pasiones que les inculcó su padre. Pero ante todo, Chevelle es un conjunto rock claramente intenso. Melodiosamente, Chevelle crea un sonido remojado en los cascos de guitarras malhumoradas y ritmos propulsivos, mientras la lírica sumamente personal y emocional roza la claridad dentro del misterio.
